Calvin Robinson: Striking should be illegal.

    I don't know much about Thatcher but what she did for the economy in the -long-term- was clearly one of the reasons the UK became a financial super-power. Yes, she was unpopular in the short term but thank god she made the decisions that she did.

    No current viable politician has the balls to do what she did. Except Boris, perhaps. He's made his anti-union intentions clear but his hands are tied at the moment. If he ever runs for PM he has my vote.

    Bravo. Striking is completely inconsiderate to millions of people using such services, not to mention the economy-as you described. This wouldn't wash in the US.
